Yeah, me too.
And, for me, it felt pretty awkward being a professional who guides children as a career while feeling clueless about what to do with my own.
So I made it my mission to increase my parenting confidence while simultaneously empowering my children to find their own strength.
I am beyond thrilled to combine all that I have learned as an out-of-the-box speech-language pathologist and a parent and share it with your family.
My journey as a Speech-Language Pathologist began with a Bachelors in Speech and Hearing Sciences from the University of Illinois and a Masters in Speech-Language Pathology from UNC Chapel Hill. Early in my career, I grew passionate about helping children reach their full potential, which inspired me to start my own private pediatric Speech-Language Pathology practice.
However, I was frustrated by the limitations of the standard treatment techniques that I learned in school. I knew that if I could just tap further into a child’s nervous system, then progress would inevitably happen faster.
I committed to seeking new ideas that would get to the root of the problems that my clients were experiencing. This began my journey into natural treatment.
During this time I experienced some unexpected extreme personal challenges, which turned into learning opportunities as I overcame them. I discovered the power of holistic living and strong integrative modalities - which ignited bigger change, further exploration and more profound healing.
I realized the true power of my thoughts and beliefs and noticed how significantly they impacted my life and daily performance (and my parenting skills). This awareness has grown into a gift that I share with the families I work with.
